Canada is a fun, safe and beautiful country, and it is a good place for
learning and sightseeing! School districts welcome overseas students
aged 10-18 to join their summer camps in July and August 2010 to leave
footprints at various popular tourist spots, experience Western culture
and learn day-to-day English. Joining one of the following summer camps
would give students a golden opportunity to create precious memories and
international friendships.
(Note: Any Hong Kong student holding a BNO or HKSAR passport does not
require a Student Visa to study in Canada¡¦s summer programs. All
fees are calculated in Canadian dollars.)
COQUITLAM
SCHOOL BOARD #43 ¡V Offers various kinds of programs including
Morning English (8:30-12:00), Morning English + Afternoon Cultural
Activities (8:30-4:30), Whole Day Intensive English (8:30-2:00), High
School Advanced English Language Class (8:30-2:00), TOEFL Preparation
Class (8:30-2:00), and High School Advanced English Language Skills
Training Class (8:30-2:00).
Age: 13-19
Start Date: From July 4, 2010 to August 27, 2010.
Classes start once a week, except for Whole Day Intensive English and
High School Advanced English Language Class which start only once a
month. Program duration is 4 weeks.

COMOX VALLEY SCHOOL
DISTRICT #71
Comox Valley School District #71 is situated on the Eastern Vancouver
Island waterfront, located within some of the world¡¦s most beautiful
natural wilderness. The school district provides 1) Summer Program 2)
Summer Academic Preparation and Activity Program. Summer program lasts
for 2 or 4 weeks with English classes in the morning and cultural
activities in the afternoon. The Summer Academic Preparation and
Activity Program is for students who have applied to Comox Valley School
District for its September 2009 intake.

DWIGHT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ¡V Summer
programs will be housed at Dwight International School on Shawnigan Lake
in Victoria, BC (Canada). It is a 3-weeks program with English classes
in the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon. Our ESL
programs also run concurrent to our other summer programs and the
international participants will stay in residence with Canadian and
American students. We run joint activities so there are multiple
opportunities for interaction and cultural exchange. In the evening,
Dwight offers a lecture by a local scientist or artist that is given to
all students.

GREATER
VICTORIA SCHOOL DISTRICT #61 ¡V Victoria is well-known as a ¡§Garden
City¡¨. Participants can choose among a 2-week to 6-week programs. Each
week includes at least 20 hours English language class and 12 hours
cultural activities. Every Saturday is an all-day cultural activity day.
Age: 11-18

and Royal BC Museum.

MALASPINA HIGH SCHOOL (MHS) ¡V Located in Nanaimo on Vancouver
Island, every year MHS organizes summer camps for many overseas
students. In addition to English upgrading classes, MHS provides many
extracurricular and local cultural learning activities. Students also go
on a 1-day trip to Vancouver.

NIAGARA CHRISTIAN
COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS ¡V Located near Niagara Falls and it is 1.5
hours drive away from Toronto. NCCS has been organizing English classes
to international students with success for more than 30 years and is
very experienced in improving its students¡¦ English language skills.
Students who participate in the summer camp reside in NCCS¡¦s dormitories
and they will be served nutritious meals by NCCS dietitians.

PICKERING COLLEGE -
Participants can
choose the 4-week programs in two different periods. Pickering will
offer a small class-size program and it is approximate 12 students per
group. Each week includes at least 25 hours English language class.

VANCOUVER SCHOOL BOARD #39 ¡V Students would study English at Magee
Secondary in the morning including academic writing, listening, reading,
and speaking and participate in a variety of extracurricular activities
in the afternoon including visiting Lynn Valley, Granville Island,
Aquarium and going on Grouse Mountain Sky Ride, etc.
